We Are Gold Star Certified

Senior Village at SaddleBrooke recently earned the Gold Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, the world’s largest database of nonprofit organizations. Less than five percent of nonprofits registered with GuideStar are recognized with a Gold Seal. A Gold Seal status is the leading symbol of nonprofit transparency and accountability.

One of Many

Senior Village at SaddleBrooke is one of many Villages across the United States. According to the Village-to-Village website, Villages are well positioned to improve daily life in the communities they serve. In the United States, roughly one in three people over 65 live alone, and half of those over 85 live alone. The Village Model works. Village members consistently report a positive impact on their well-being and quality of life as a direct result of their participation in their Village.

The Senior Village Commitment

Serving the SaddleBrooke community is not just what we do, it is what we love to do. Volunteers say their experiences with Senior Village have added a new awareness of compassion for their neighbors. Senior Village is committed to delivering quality services to the people of SaddleBrooke who call upon us now, and those who will call in the future.

Keeps Growing

The volunteer spirit of SaddleBrooke is the lifeblood of Senior Village. Monthly orientation classes welcome new volunteers and, under the enthusiastic leadership of Volunteer Coordinator Mary Toth, explain Senior Village and how to serve. There are now 241 volunteers with many talents.

David Passes Chairmanship

Nostalgically remembering the four years he served as Chairman of the Board of Senior Village, David commented that “watching the organization grow has been among my most rewarding memories”. And grown it has!

Congressional Recognition

When AZ Congressman Thomas O’Halleran visited the Saddlebrooke vaccination clinic on February 20, he was so overwhelmed with what he saw that he returned to Washington extolling our community. “to say that I was impressed is an understatement,” he exclaimed.

When You Don’t Know

We all know the Village has many services to help us like Going my Way, Helping Hands and Friendly Contact. But did you know there is another special program providing a different kind of help? Our volunteer Support Team, under the leadership of Sandy Morse, is made up of retired physicians, nurses, social workers, physical therapists and a hospice chaplain.

Save Money on State Taxes

Membership Team Welcomes You

When you say “hello” to Senior Village for the first time, it’s the Membership Team that greets you. There are currently 27 volunteers on the team with two co-leaders. One of them will be your first personal contact with Senior Village.

Free Afternoon Concert

The monthly Music Matinees, hosted by Senior Village, have become a SaddleBrooke favorite. Local performers share their considerable talent with SaddleBrooke. What a treat!
