Music Matinee featuring Daniel “Sky” Slipetsky

Daniel “Sly” Slipetsky is a jazz pianist/tuba player who has happily made Arizona his home since August 1997. A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Sly began his piano studies at the age of eight, and when he picked up the tuba upon entering high school, a whole new musical world opened for him. Since moving to the Grand Canyon State, Sly has been fortunate to earn his living strictly as a performing musician in a wide variety of settings: everything from solo piano to piano/vocal duets, to jazz combos, to big bands, to 1920s New Orleans-type jazz (piano and tuba), to salsa bands- and so much more. Sly feels blessed to earn his living this way, and his life has been enriched with music.
